WHAT MAKES OUR PLANTS SPECIAL
Healthy growth and
long-term earnings.
Sustainability is a top priority in our plant production. Through the targeted selection, care and regular training of woody plants, we create a high-quality production that strengthens plant health. We accompany the development of the plants from the young plant to the mature specimen and thus guarantee the highest 'brand quality'. Our own propagation enables us to closely monitor plant development and offer our customers healthy, strong woody plants.
For example, varieties of Acer palmatum or Hamamelis x intermedia are grafted. As special crops, Fagus sylvatica 'Purpurea Pendula' and Betula pendula 'Youngii' are propagated by grafting on the farm.
When applying plant protection products, we work together with a specially equipped contractor who applies the products professionally using advanced technology and in accordance with the latest regulations.
We are also supported by a service provider for mechanical weed control in our outdoor areas, who works alongside our own machines with the help of horses and cultivators. The specially trained animals work their way through the rows step by step without causing any damage to the crops. Their low weight in relation to comparable machines that could take on these tasks also means that soil compaction can be avoided. In this way, we protect the crops and have the advantage of a pleasant reduction in working hours, especially in spring.
Sufficient areas allow us to consistently cultivate at least one period of green manure as an intermediate crop after a crop cycle. In this way, we promote the growth of the following crop and ensure a sustainable build-up of humus in the soil.
At the same time, we create a healthy source of nutrients for our plants and effectively prevent organisms that are harmful to the crop.
